Key facts
Contents & fields
The dataset comprises three subsets: IDF files, CWEEDS, and CWEC. IDF provides short-duration rainfall statistics (intensity-duration-frequency curves) for 563 locations in Canada. CWEEDS contains hourly weather conditions at specific locations, including long-term records from 1953 to 2005 and hourly solar radiation estimates. CWEC consists of 12 Typical Meteorological Months selected from a database of usually 30 years, based on monthly means of daily global radiation, dry-bulb temperature, dew point temperature, and wind speed. The source page does not disclose specific field lists.

Why this is hard to get on your own
Engineering climate data are scattered; the three subsets (IDF, CWEEDS, CWEC) need to be accessed separately, and field descriptions are not explicit.
