Sweepy Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the international edition of Sweepy, a Windows disk assistant from DeepSData. The heart of them is simple: Sweepy shows and suggests, but it does not delete, move or rename anything without your confirmation, and the AI assistant is advisory only.
Version 1.0 (international) · Effective 20 June 2026
Sweepy is provided by DeepSData, operated by 数聚天成(深圳)数据智能有限公司. Contact: contact@deepsdata.com. By installing, launching, signing in, purchasing or continuing to use Sweepy, you accept these terms. Where you buy through an app store or another channel, that channel's rules may also apply to payment, refunds and account entitlements.
1. About Sweepy
Sweepy is a Windows desktop tool for disk space analysis, file organizing and safe cleanup. It helps you see what is using your disk, find large and duplicate files, organize folders, clean up junk, and get plain-language explanations through its assistant. Sweepy is not a system component and not antivirus software. It provides assistance and controlled execution; whether anything is deleted, moved, renamed or emptied is confirmed by you.
2. Accepting these terms, and separate authorizations
Using basic features — scanning, space analysis, finding files, duplicate detection and cleanup previews — means you accept these general terms. The following higher-risk features ask for a separate confirmation in the product before they run:
- Deleting, moving or renaming files.
- Recursive organizing (including files inside sub-folders).
- AI naming or bulk re-categorizing by content.
- Irreversible actions such as emptying the Recycle Bin.
- Sending feedback, diagnostics or error logs.
- Signing in, purchasing, or using AI quota.
You can decline any of these. If you decline, that feature will not run, and your other local features are unaffected.
3. Our core safety commitments
- We will not delete, move or rename your files without your confirmation.
- Before processing files, we try to show a preview list so you know what will be affected.
- Files not on the preview list should not be processed by the execution layer.
- The AI only advises; it does not hold the final power to execute.
- Cleanup and organizing follow reversible, restorable or traceable paths where possible.
- System folders, program folders, items where permission is insufficient, cloud placeholder files, over-long paths and files in use are skipped or flagged, not forced.
- For uninstalling software, Sweepy only opens the system uninstaller or the vendor's own uninstaller; it does not silently uninstall on your behalf.
4. Action risk levels
L0 — local, read-only
Scanning, viewing space usage, finding files, viewing duplicates, previewing a plan. These read file information only; they do not change files.
L1 — single, reversible
Organizing top-level files by type, by date or by keyword; sorting photos by capture time. These usually move files without deleting them, and aim to offer undo.
L2 — high risk
Recursive organizing, AI naming, bulk re-categorizing, merging folders, migrating large folders. These affect more, and require a preview or authorization prompt before you confirm.
L3 — very high risk
Emptying the Recycle Bin, system-level cleanup, and potentially unrecoverable actions. These require a separate, second confirmation. After the Recycle Bin is emptied, files usually cannot be recovered from it.
5. High-risk actions and the preview list
For high-risk organizing actions, Sweepy aims to: generate a preview list rather than acting directly; state how many files and what scope are involved, and whether sub-folders are included; act on the preview list only after you confirm; stop or re-confirm if a file's state has changed; not expand the scope beyond the list; and keep an undo record where possible. If you manually change, delete or move the files, or empty the Recycle Bin, undo may fail.
6. The AI assistant
Sweepy's AI features include the chat assistant, AI cleanup explanations, AI naming and bulk re-categorizing. You understand and agree that:
- AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuited to your situation.
- AI suggestions are for reference and do not replace your judgement.
- The AI does not delete, move or rename directly.
- AI features that read a document excerpt ask for your separate authorization in the product.
- The AI may call a third-party model service; what is sent and how privacy is handled is described in the Sweepy Privacy Policy.
- AI-generated content is labelled "AI-generated / AI-assisted — for reference only."
If an AI output looks wrong, stop and keep your original files.
7. Accounts, paid features and online features
Some local features work without signing in. Signing in or purchasing may unlock more AI quota or paid features. Accounts, quota, purchases, refunds, updates and feedback may require a connection; when the network, our servers, a third-party model or the store is unavailable, those features may be temporarily unavailable, while local basics usually keep working.
8. Pricing, versions and refunds
Sweepy may offer free, one-time-purchase, subscription or other paid versions. The specific features, prices, entitlements, validity and refund rules are shown on the purchase page, the website or the app-store listing. For purchases through the Microsoft Store or another app store, refunds, invoices and order disputes generally follow that store's rules, and your mandatory consumer rights under applicable law still apply. A free version contains no third-party ads or bundled installers.
9. Your responsibilities
- Back up important files yourself.
- Read the prompts and preview list carefully before cleaning, organizing, renaming or emptying the Recycle Bin.
- Do not use Sweepy for unlawful, infringing or destructive purposes, or to bypass security controls.
- Do not decompile, crack, bypass licensing, resell accounts, or abuse the AI service in bulk.
- Do not submit feedback containing others' private information, trade secrets, passwords or keys.
10. Undo and recovery
Sweepy aims to offer undo for organizing, moving and renaming, but does not guarantee 100% recovery in every case. Recovery may fail if: files are moved, deleted or renamed again by you or other software; the destination is missing or lacks permission; a file is in use; the disk is damaged or full; the Recycle Bin is emptied; action records are deleted, damaged or out of retention range; or the state of an external, cloud or network drive changes. Back up important files before you act.
11. Updates, suspension and changes
We may provide updates to fix problems, improve security or adapt to system changes. If a feature has a clear security, compliance or abuse risk, or a third-party service fails, we may temporarily suspend, limit or withdraw that feature, and will try to explain why in the product.
12. Intellectual property
Sweepy and its interface, code, copy, icons, name, trademarks and design belong to us or the relevant rights holders. Without written permission you may not copy, distribute, sell, rent, reverse-engineer or use it to build a competing product, except as the law allows. You keep the rights to your own files and data; Sweepy does not gain ownership of your files by processing them.
13. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Sweepy is provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep it safe and reliable, but do not promise it is always error-free, uninterrupted or fully compatible, nor that any cleanup result meets your expectations. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses caused by: ignoring the preview list or forcing an action; emptying the Recycle Bin, deleting backups or disabling undo records; failures of the system, disk, permissions, antivirus, cloud or external drives, or third-party software; failures of third-party AI, app stores, payment channels or network services; following an inaccurate AI suggestion anyway; or force majeure. Where we are required by law to be liable, our total liability to you, to the maximum extent permitted by law, will not exceed the amount you actually paid for Sweepy in the preceding 12 months; for free users, the minimum the law allows. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, including your mandatory consumer rights.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product, the law or the distribution channel requires. For important changes we will notify you in the product, on the website or in another suitable place. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you can stop using the relevant features or the software.
15. Governing law and disputes
Except where mandatory local consumer-protection law provides otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, and we will first seek to resolve any dispute with you amicably. Nothing in this clause removes the protections or the right to bring a claim that the mandatory law of your country of residence gives you.
