The dataset contains clinical trial registration records, each corresponding to a trial registration number. Data include registry information from ClinicalTrials.gov and the German Clinical Trials Registry (DRKS), as well as results publications found through manual searches. A data dictionary file (iv_data_dictionary.csv) provides type, description, and levels for each variable. Key variables include:
- iv_version — data version (1 or 2)
- lead_city — city of the lead party (used to associate with UMC)
- facility_city — city of the facility (version 1 only)
- is_dupe — whether duplicated between versions
- identification_step — description of manual search step
- levels_drks — variable levels from DRKS
- levels_ctgov — variable levels from ClinicalTrials.gov
- completion_date — trial completion date
- primary_completion_date — primary completion date
- doi — DOI of results publication
- pmid — PubMed ID of results publication
- url — URL of results publication
